THANK

SPRING SALSA ...THE HOTTEST PARTY
IN TOWN!
We had a blast!
May, 2008 – On Friday, May 9, 2008 at 6:30 p.m., Steppingstone Scholars,
Inc. held their annual Spring Salsa to raise funds for its program that
gives urban children a blueprint for the future.
Philadelphia area’s hottest Latin Party of the year took place at Sherman
Mills East Falls at 3502 Scotts Lane in Philadelphia. With an attendance
of over 300 guests, Steppingstone Scholars, Inc. successfully raised over
$280,000 for their organization.
The benefit, attended by more than 300 guests, honored dedicated board
member James L. Crawford, former head of Episcopal Academy and a celebrated
author, teacher and scholar. Crawford has been actively involved in Steppingstone
Scholars, Inc. since its inception in 1990.
The evening’s emcees, CNBC commentator Joe Watkins and NBC10’s Monique Braxton, auctioned off a four-day fly fishing trip to Everland’s Club near Big Timber, Montana, and led a speed auction that raised $14,000 by asking guests for instant pledges up to $1,000.
