A Seat At The Table Dining Series
The dining series is an exclusive opportunity to engage in conversation with leaders from various industries. The series is offered through a live auction at the Step into Spring event and includes five intimate dining experiences, each one featuring a special guest. By supporting this series, donors partner with Steppingstone Scholars to give children the opportunity that education affords…to give them a seat at the table.
The 2010 Dining Series will feature Kelly Corrigan, author of The Middle Place and Lift; Jim Ellis, educator, swim coach and subject of the feature film Pride; H. F. “Gerry” Lenfest, media entrepreneur and philanthropist; Michael Nutter, Mayor of Philadelphia; and Stacey Snider, CEO and Co-Chair of DreamWorks Studios. Stay tuned for photos!
The 2009 Dining Series featured Harold Carmichael, former Philadelphia Eagle; Abigail Disney, philanthropist and filmmaker; John Hess, CEO of Hess Corp.; Michael Nutter, Mayor of Philadelphia; and the dynamic couple TV Journalist Bob Woodruff and bestselling author Lee Woodruff.

More than 80 community and business leaders, philanthropists, educators and friends of Steppingstone Scholars, Inc. gathered at the Four Seasons Hotel for “Pathways to Educational Success,” a panel discussion about Steppingstone’s mission and the need for support to enable the organization to continue its critical work. The dinner and program, hosted by the board of directors of Steppingstone Scholars and made possible in part by the generosity of the Four Seasons Hotel, is one of several events that Steppingstone Scholars holds annually to raise awareness and support for its work of developing and implementing programs that prepare underserved schoolchildren for educational opportunities that lead to college.
