Second Annual Career and Technical Education Fair

November 23, 2016

Steppingstone Scholars recently hosted 400 7th graders from our partner Middle Grades Academy schools and other K-8 schools in North Philadelphia on Temple's campus to learn about Career and Technical Education (CTE) High Schools. CTE high schools are a great high school choice option as they have higher graduation rates and college going rates than neighborhood comprehensive high schools.

Over two days, CTE high students ran booths that introduced the 7th graders to the different trades at each of the three participating high schools. At the end of the fair, the 7th graders finished the day with a tour of Temple's campus. Additionally, the CTE high school students were able to participate in a "Real Talk" session about college with Temple students.
